Building Facility Security Designs- Diverse Needs, Right Solutions!
|
Fri, 29 November 2013 |
Sat, 30 November 2013 |
1250 TTD Per Seat |
Course Fee $1,250.00
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The ultimate aim of the concern for security in the design of a facility is to eliminate crimes that imperil lives and increase the cost of doing business. Such crimes can include burglary, industrial espionage, shoplifting, vandalism, assault, rape, murder and employees theft.
Utilization of the CPTED theory in facility security design utilizes knowledge of human behavior drawn from disciplines such as criminal law, sociology, psychology, administration of justice, criminology, penology and human behavior. It is also based on the proposition that the appropriate design and application of the building and surrounding environment can both reduce crime and the fear of crime.
CPTED alone would however not solve facility security design problems. As far as possible, facility security design should begin during the site selection process where a site analysis is conducted as the first level of security defense planning. This is followed by defense provided by perimeter or exterior of building and finally by internal space protection. Special attention would be paid to privacy vs. security, design criteria for parking facilities, industrial buildings, offices and office buildings and information and property asset protection. Special considerations concerning the security of U.S federal buildings would also be examined.

Introduction to Fraud Investigations
|
Thu, 29 February 2024 |
Thu, 21 March 2024 |
900 TTD Per Seat |
Online Courses cost $900
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The initial response to any suspicion of fraud or corruption needs to be calm and measured. Knee jerk reactions and bravado such as “sack him now”, or “let’s interrogate the suspect” or “let’s kick that supplier out” or “call the police” can often come back to haunt senior management. It’s often forgotten that any investigation has two sides: what went wrong and why it went wrong.
Investigations can be rather exciting but they are also complex, expensive and rather tiring affairs. You usually need a team of professionals who have specialist skills including the analysis of computers and information, intelligence management, interviewing, and of, course legal skills. This course will provide information on how one can successfully undertake a fraud investigation.
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Know the objectives for an investigation
- Know the key steps in investigations
- Gain insight into proper evidence management
- Know how to manage investigations
