# Course Title Start Date Finish date Price
1 Accident and Incident Investigations Mon, 22 February 2021 Sat, 27 February 2021 450 TTD Per Seat

All online courses are $450.00

COURSE DESCRIPTION: OSHA strongly encourages employers to investigate all incidents in which a worker was hurt, as well as close calls, in which a worker might have been hurt if the circumstances had been slightly different.

In the past, the term "accident" was often used when referring to an unplanned, unwanted event. To many, "accident" suggests an event that was random, and could not have been prevented. Since nearly all worksite fatalities, injuries, and illnesses are preventable, OSHA suggests using the term "incident" investigation.

Investigating a work site incident— a fatality, injury, illness, or close call— provides employers and workers the opportunity to identify hazards in their operations and shortcomings in their safety and health programs. Most importantly, it enables employers and workers to identify and implement the corrective actions necessary to prevent future incidents.

Key Training Areas include:

  • Principles of accident and incident investigation
  • Benefits of accident/incident prevention

2 Assessing your Pandemic Policy Tue, 19 January 2021 Thu, 21 January 2021 450 TTD Per Seat

All online courses are $450

Undoubtedly, the covid-19 pandemic in whatever form or fashion will be with us for quite a while.

Many organisations may have hopefully developed their own pandemic policy by now. Now though is the time to understand whether
your organisation is in line with the general requirements with regard to staff, clients, customers and resources?

An organisation and its people cannot afford to drop its guard at this time. This can be disastrous to an organisation’s survival – financially and from a  human resource perspective.

Because we do not know what the future holds, how can we assess if the policies, strategies and interventions we have in place are working now or can work in the year ahead especially as we are unsure of what other viruses may be emerging worldwide?

Let's help you make sure your policy covers the salient points to protect both the organisation and employees.

Many institutions face a wide range and number of crises and emergencies which can have high costs – financial, human, customer relations and public image - which can be detrimental.

Crises and emergencies can be small or large, within a department or organisation-wide, with few or many people, within organization or with external persons, physical or non-physical. The key is to have an appropriate and effective crisis and emergency management system fully in place which will include both preventative and responsive strategies.  As well, what happens after a crisis affects the organisation? All organisations should have an appropriate crisis and emergency plan so that when crises or emergencies occur, the operations of the organisation are not adversersely affected and kept running close to pre-defined levels.

In this timely and fundamental training programme, all persons will be empowered with the necessary tools to affect this integral component for all organizations.

4 Fire Warden Training Tue, 08 December 2020 Sat, 12 December 2020 450 TTD Per Seat

  Investment: $450.00

COURSE DESCRIPTION: In Trinidad and Tobago, there is the culture of unpreparedness. Now is the time to fix this. Fires occur in any place and time. Not only are fires restricted to restaurants and the oil and gas sectors, but all types of organizations are at high risk of fires.

Organizations should not be left unprotected in terms of what they can do to prevent as well as respond to fires. Many times, it is too late when the fire service arrives to extinguish an ongoing fire. It is the critical small steps that each organization can do that can eventually save the day.

A simple strategy to adopt is to train fire wardens in every organization. If an organization is large, it is recommended that persons in various departments be trained. If an organization occupies more than floor in a building, then persons in every floor should be trained. This is a preventative strategy that can save your organization in the long term.

In this 6-hour Fire Warden Training, participants are introduced to the critical aspects in the identification and control of fire risks. Further, they will be able to understand basic fire hazards and their consequential risks in the workplace. Next to be tackled are the main measures that can be taken to minimize such fire risks. And, emergency response protocols are also fully covered in this training.

DATE: Dec 1 (6-9pm), 3 (6-9), 2020
