Ian Kevin Ramdhanie- Academic Head
Mr. Ian Kevin Ramdhanie has over twenty years of experience in teaching, researching, developing public policy, and senior academic administration in tertiary level academic institutions in Trinidad and Tobago (Caribbean Institute for Security and Public Safety, The University of the West Indies and The University of Trinidad and Tobago). He obtained his B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. from UWI, St. Augustine Campus Trinidad and Tobago and is presently completing his Ph.D.
Mr. Ramdhanie was a member of several Cabinet-Appointed Committees to deal with crime, parole and crime policies in Trinidad and Tobago over the years. He is currently a member of the Private Security Network Commission of the Ministry of National Security since its inception.
Mr. Ramdhanie has written and published many scholarly papers on crime statistics, prison reform and rehabilitation, policing, white-collar crime and youth crime for example in journals as well as presented in many academic conferences in the USA, France, Spain, South Africa and across the Caribbean. He has worked jointly with other scholars on projects with the United Nations Office of Drug Control and the Inter-American Development Bank. Mr. Ramdhanie has notable experience in the development and implementation of academic and training programmes in the criminology, security and public safety fields.
